About me
Jessica Mastellar serves as Deputy Director of Central Minnesota Legal Services, where she provides broad organizational leadership across operations, compliance, strategic planning, pro bono engagement, and intake services. With nearly 12 years of experience at CMLS, Jessica has played a key role in strengthening systems, aligning priorities, and supporting collaboration across programs, offices, and community partners. Jessica came to legal aid after completing a joint degree program at Hamline University, earning both a Juris Doctor and a Master’s in Nonprofit Management. She began her CMLS career as the Volunteer Attorney Program Coordinator in one of the organization’s outstate offices, an experience that shaped her commitment to expanding access to justice in Greater Minnesota. Today, she brings a collaborative, systems-focused approach to leadership, working across departments and partner organizations to improve service delivery, advance shared goals, and strengthen long-term organizational impact.
