About me
Sam Manning is an attorney based in the Twin Cities with over a decade of experience in public interest law, spanning housing, immigration, and human rights advocacy. He currently serves as Program Manager at Legal Services State Support in St. Paul. Before serving as Program Manager, Sam was Legal Services Project Manager, managing the Legal Organizations Online Network (LOON), developing more than two dozen Continuing Legal Education courses annually, and helping shape programming for the biennial Minnesota Legal Services Statewide Conference.
Previously, Sam spent three years as a Staff Attorney with Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid handling housing litigation, two years as an Associate Attorney at Myers Thompson, P.A. focused on employment-based immigration, and three years as a Staff Attorney at Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services working on housing and family law cases. He holds a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School (2013) and a B.A. in Political Science from St. Olaf College (2010). In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and spending as much time as possible in nature.
